History

kids9.jpgThe roots of Child Care Information Services go back to 1970, when, as a division of Lehigh Valley Child Care, Inc., staff had administered the subsidized child care funding program (Title XX).  In 1993, to insure non-biased operation of the subsidy program, CCIS achieved separate incorporation and sprouted its own office, which is currently located at 2200 W. Broad St. in Bethlehem.  In the same year, Unconditional Child Care began, an idea that grew out of seeing young children expelled from child care because of the children’s behavior problems.  Both the subsidy program and Unconditional Child Care have grown dramatically since 1993.

CCIS currently employs twenty-four full and part-time staff members.
